No.
This is absolute madness! Poor, beautiful, Paris!!
The french will eventually give them the necessary paperwork to get rid so they can travel freely to the UK. Don't be fooled by the Calais jungle being demolished.
several papers today are carrying reports from the camps that surround Stalingrad and Jaures metro stations; all contain interviews with campers who are pregnant, implying they deserve special treatment. like it's the fault of the state that they're in that condition????

No chance of this happening in London, they would all be tucked up safe and warm in hotels, until of course houses were found complete with all mod cons.

But wait a mo, what's all this from the Guardian, dated last January?

/// “The rise in homelessness has been caused by a toxic mix of government failures: allowing London’s housing crisis to go from bad to worse with fewer genuinely affordable properties available every year, cuts to social care and local authority funding which means there is less support for people who are at immediate risk of becoming homeless, and direct cuts to grants and programmes for organisations that tackle homelessness. Taken together it’s had a devastating effect.” ///

Not a mention of the increase in migrants, I see.

I could suggest what kind of treatment they need, but it wouldn't necessarily be called 'special' more essential I'd say.

What kind of persons, without a roof over their head and sleeping rough, decides to increase their family?
Disgraceful, and only the French Government to blame.

This is going to affect the tourist trade so much, the shops, restaurant, cafe owners etc, must be fuming, and surely they must do something about it.

As AOG has pointed out (and demonstrated with some links) he is perfectly serious. “Asylum Seekers” (provided they declare themselves as such to the authorities and do not disappear into the ether that is the black economy) are immediately found accommodation once their claim is lodged. None is left on the streets. They are also provided with meals and pocket money (around £35pw, I think). This is why the UK needs to make every effort possible to restrict their entry to the UK and to resist the notion that France has that somehow the UK must take a “share” of the problem they have created for themselves. They have no right to come here from France, they are not seeking refuge from that country and they can apply or shelter there if the mood takes them.

I don’t quite know why you should question whether AOG’s comment was serious or not.
I can’t see the people of Paris accepting this situation without protest.
I'm not religious but thank allah for the channel tunnel
The tunnel needs bricking up.
sorry I meant the channel not the channel tunnel!
I've been to Paris and fell in love with it, can't imagine how parts of it must look now, very sad.
