I remember when I was on a work trip to Ankara years ago and one of the girls and I were laying by the pool with our male colleagues. When we decided to go for a dip, all of the local lads who were there immediately got into the pool and started swimming underneath us - needless to say, we didn`t stay in the water very long. When I hear about these swimming pool incidents I`m not at all surprised - creeps.

Another time I was in a hotel in Japan and a group of men were checking in at the same time as us. It turns out they were the Iranian weight lifting team and they somehow managed to figure out our room numbers. Needless to say, I was harassed. They were phoning my room, one of them even knocked on my door first thing in the morning (I could see him through the spy hole). They were phoning all of us girls and asking for sex. I had to put a block on the phone in the end. The trouble is, men from some of these countries think Western woman are slags and that belief is so ingrained that I don`t know how it can be changed.
