God give him a chance, he's not even sworn in yet !

Not that it particularly matters, but there's another anomaly in the US system that is worth mentioning. Donald Trump isn't president yet, but that's not because he hasn't been sworn in. The electoral college hasn't voted yet, and hasn't yet decided who it's going to pick to become President. That will happen in December. There is no obligation, for most of the states, for the electoral college members to vote the way the electorate did. In fact, at least one college member from Washington has already sworn that he will not vote for Clinton, even though she was the winner in that state. (Thankfully, this won't matter).
All of which means that the result on Tuesday was only... advisory. Just saying.
(Of course, this is merely a technicality. No-one really expects the electoral college to ignore the will of the people...)

Jim....While I don't hold with the violence at some of these protests and condemn the occurrences, you can hardly blame Americans for feeling a bit let down by the Election. Hilary got more votes than Trump, and yet he is about the enter the White House.
Just imagine what some of our right-wingers would have thought and done, if Ed had took up residence in Number Ten, in 2015, despite gathering less votes than Dave ?
We have already been warned by TTT, of the possibility of force being used on our streets, if BREXIT isn't delivered pretty soon, and I condemn that as well.

No, I absolutely don't blame anyone who feels let down by the electoral system in the US. They have a right to be angry, and a responsibility to speak out about it. Obviously, not through violent protest. Maybe some day it will change -- after,a ll, did not Donald Trump himself complain about how rigged the system was? Well, rigged against him. Presumably he doesn't believe that now -- and most likely he therefore will say nothing about it ever again.
Although, to be fair, no one else ever wants to change the system that got them elected.

They sound like uneducated moronic knuckle-draggers that have no idea how the system works ... or have no resect for the system.
