^^ Understood vetutse. :)
//I understand the OP exactly. //

Me too. He's right. They don't get it. I've always been a great fan but I didn't watch tonight. I decided last week enough was enough.
Very funny programme,
I watch it when I'm in the mood, can't believe I've managed to miss Rich Hall, he's so droll.
I love HIGNFY. I don't think Ian is a total leftie. He seems quite impartial. He'll take the pee out of either side of politics.

I suppose we are making progress. Last month you mistakenly thought this was a News programme.

Instead of constantly bleating about a programme you clearly don't like, why not just stop watching it?
Turn the channel over.
Turn the TV set off.
It is not compulsary to watch it, so don't.
And if you cannot stop yourself, and have to watch, please stop whinging like a pathetic nincompoop.
If you look hard enough you maight find 'The Best of Jim Davidson' on UKIP Gold.
^Oh dear. See what happens when you have the temerity to criticise a ‘right on’ national treasure? Banter is good, ribbing is good, but when a guest is obliged to ask whether he’s appearing on a topical satire show or having a political discussion, the essence of the show is lost. I was with Paul Merton here who, amid the uncomfortably unfunny watching that was Ian Hislop, said he was waiting for the show to start. Guess that, in Gromit’s estimation, makes me a pathetic nincompoop too, but I can live with that.

Gromit...comedy gold at 00:43 !
Mikey, pseudo intellectualism at 08:59.
HIGNFY is tame. I can remember TW3.
Gromit...don't forget that any BBC program, that doesn't have its lips firmly attached to the buttocks of a representative of the Tory Party is deemed to be "leftie" here on AB.

There have even been people in he past, that have accused John Humphrys of being a "leftie" ! The Humph !

Mrs Whitehouse never really died you know....she lives on in the minds of people that just have to be offended at least once a day.
I think Maureen Lipman did a good impression of Theresa May
Mikey at 09:10 Sat, youngmafbog said you don't get it and he was right.
The beauty of the program is that politicians are legitimately taken the hissed out of them . P.
Naomi,

If you do not like the programme, just don't watch it. There are literally hundreds of channels to choose from.
HIGNFY in in its 52nd series, so enough people apparently like it and watch it.
Well said Gromit !
The programme started in 1990.
Remind me of all the parties in power from that time to this....
For your OP to contain even the smallest grain of truth, both teams and the presenters would have had to be deferential to 'the left' since it began.

Any regular viewer could tell you that they have not.

They give 'the establishment' a good kicking, howsoever it is constituted at the time of filming.
Jack...save your breath.
Gromit, read my post at 22:42 Fri and then watch the clip I posted at 07:26 Sat. That performance by Ian Hislop was unworthy of 'Have I got News for You', and I found it deeply unpleasant viewing.
Excellent programme- doesn't always get it right but usually does. I'm not sure why some here whinge about it. If you don't like it there's an easy answer- watch something else, such as Fox News. Perhaps those who complain about its leftie luvvie bias think they are clever enough to spot the bias and the rest of us are too gullible.
