Drop The Brexit Case Appeal?
Oliver Letwin thinks it a bad idea to go to the Supreme Court preferring the issue to be settled in Parliament. Do you think he has a point?

What is being debated is if the Prime Minister on her own, can set the conditions of exit according to her own plan without consultation even with her own cabinet, which is what she was attempting to do!
The Law Lords have decided quite correctly, that she can not do that but must consult parliment.
How long is it going to take for people to realise this?

My feeling is, taking into account that none of the disasters the remainers claimed would happen, have in fact happened, and in fact the future for Britain now looks rosier outside of the EU, that if another referendum were to take place (God forbid) there would be a much larger majority voting to leave.

^^ Exactly what I have been predicting, the rest of the EU simply can't allow us to leave with a favorable deal. It would mean other countries would want the same and ensure the end of the EU. They will insist we get the worst deal possible, and remember once we implement A50 the European Council meet without the UK and they decide the conditions we will be given, we have no say or negotiation in what they are prepared to offer.
And the so-called "Hard Brexit" being proposed by our European "Partners" is exactly the kind of Brexit I'd wish to see. No faffing about, no conditions laid down by the EU to which we must adhere, no influence from the EU over any of our affairs. In short, I'd like too see the UK revert to a normal, non-EU status which many other countries in the world seem perfectly able to thrive with.
dannyK as has been pointed out even by New Judge, if we simply 'walk out' of the EU without an exit deal, we will have proved that we can not be trusted to stand by any legally binding trade deal we may make . It will destroy our international reputation
It is essential for our future trade that we get out of the EU in a mutually agreed exit policy! Who will want to trade with a country that just ditches it's trade agreements when it does not suit them?

This trade business is a two-way thing, or hasn't anyone noticed?
Just drive around the congested roads of the UK and count how many of the cars are BMWs,VW's, Audis and Renaults etc..
Go into your supermarket and look where most the wine and a lot of the cheese is coming from.
There is much talk about the "Norway and Swiss" model, the Swiss produce watches and chocolates and Norway produces, I don't know what - pullovers?
The truth is that the EU needs to export to the UK far more than the UK, (with the rest of the world to trade with) needs the EU.

If the EU is daft enough to enforce it, then 'Hard Brexit' is fine by me, in fact the preferred option. How anyone could want to remain a member of a club which has expressed such vicious animosity to a member who wishes to leave, is beyond me. 'Friends' like that are, simply, the opposite. Trade with them, be friendly certainly - but don't put yourself in their power.
