Surely if you are going to ignore the democratic will of the majority then you'd better be thick skinned enough to take a little ire.

I think it is over-simplistic to say that having reservations about the enactment of the Brexit result equates to trying to deny that it has happened, or that the process is going to take place.
Without opposition and debate, democracy would not function properly, and people should not be abused because their views are different.
Different does not mean not entitled.

'Twenty three Labour MPs voted against the motion, and about 100 MPs from both sides of the Commons did not vote.
The tweets accused 14 Labour MPs, none of whom appear to have voted in the debate, of being "out of touch with ordinary working people".'
Perhaps the ones sending the tweets are out of touch with reality if they are making false accusations?

Andy: "i think it is over-simplistic to say that having reservations about the enactment of the Brexit result equates to trying to deny that it has happened, or that the process is going to take place. " - ordinarily Andy I'd agree but this lot are objecting to brexit itself. low lives like Ken Clarke, a life long EU lickspittle would block it in a heart beat, as would the anti English SNP. This aint about the process they want to thwart brexit entirely. We have won the fight we have to win it again with these maggots in our midst.
Since Scotland voted in favour of remaining in the EU, it's the responsibility of SNP MPs to defend that position.
And yes, I know it was only 56/44 or something of that in favour, which means that every Scottish MP voting against Brexit is perhaps disproportionate, but then this is exactly the point. MPs voting against Brexit can, will and should happen, because they too have a duty to represent those who voted to stay in the EU.
Which bit of that is too difficult for you? Or for the CCHQ for that matter. Democracy demands that, in the long run, Brexit happens, but it is not and never was unanimous.

jim:"Since Scotland voted in favour of remaining in the EU, it's the responsibility of SNP MPs to defend that position." - yeah so did Islington &^%$ing high st. The vote was UK as a whole and that's how it's counted. you cannot isolate convenient areas and say they had a different result just because it suits your argument.
"TTT do you not believe folk should be allowed to express opinions contrary to yours without being insulted? " - yes, generally but the public voted for brexit. Both the Government and the opposition have said that they will implement the will of the people so the 89 are in fact willing to ignore democracy, that's in the realm of dictatorship.
