And every other Party.

// a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews //

Not sure that helps. Or clarifies anything. In fact it could be a catch-all phrase to mean anything they want.

If I said "the Jewish State of Israel is oppressive to its neighbours and murders women and children in Gaza" is that a perception which would fall foul of this narrow definition of ant-semitism?
I agree with Gromit. This is dangerous in the extreme, as well as being linguistically inaccurate.

Does the Labour Party have anyone capable of taking notes?
Yes, quite a few over the years have happily taken notes, of various denominations.

Gromit: "And every other Party." - perhaps Gromit but it's Labour who are the undisputed champions.

"If I said "the Jewish State of Israel is oppressive to its neighbours and murders women and children in Gaza" is that a perception which would fall foul of this narrow definition of ant-semitism? " - As is common with anti Semites you take only one side of the story as the whole picture. You conveniently omit the reasons why those things happen.

So you believe my statement is anti-semitic. As I suspected, imposing a definition is to stop free speech rather than catch genuine hate crimes.

yes, gromit, because you pick the side of the argument to suit your view rather than looking at the whole picture.

No doubt when Saint Nelson Mandella was cutting his teeth as a terrorist, innocents suffered too....
just remember it cuts both way - how extreme does action have to be, before it falls outside Labour's "legitimate anti-zioninst protest" definition, and how many action which would be described as "atrocity" in other societies are disregarded for that reason?
So next time the Israelis bulldoze a Palestinia'ns house, we are not allowed to say anything because that would be a wrong perception and anti-semitic. Right ho.
that's twice in one thread, Gromit, that you've broken the novice debater's "so....." rule.....

So what?
Invented the Steam Engine didnt he?
It will be interesting to see Labours take on this TTT. If Lefty Gromit is anything to go by they will be finding weasel words and warped one sides views to twist their way out of addressing the problem.

Of course it is always going to be very difficult with an organization that holds Hezbolla in such high esteem.
Hezbollah are doing a rather good job of defeating Islamic State at the moment. Something the US and Britain have completely failed to do. The world will be a much better place without IS, so perhaps we should all be grateful to Hezbollah.
3T is speaking with a forked tongue.

He knows full well that opposing the actions of the Israeli government does not necessarily mean one supports Hamas or Hezbollah. He also knows full well that it is not some kind of attack on the Jews as a whole.

This is precisely what radical Islamists do. They label any criticism as hate speech/racism and don't bother defending their views.
Times of Israel:

// An annual report delivered recently to the US Senate by James Clapper, the director of National Intelligence, removed Iran and Hezbollah from its list of terrorism threats, after years in which they featured in similar reports.

The unclassified version of the Worldwide Threat Assessment of the US Intelligence Communities, dated February 26, 2015 (PDF), noted Iran’s efforts to combat Sunni extremists, including those of the ultra-radical Islamic State group, who were perceived to constitute the preeminent terrorist threat to American interests worldwide. //
