Watching The Inaguration

I'm watching it with a kind of morbid fascination. Watching Trumps family parade in - the women all look like they are plastic and more fitting with the Kardashians. And after they've shown previous Presidents being sworn in - Regan, Clinton, Bush, and then this man walks in with an orange face and yellow hair. It just looks so bizarre. I know none of that will have anything to do with his ability to do the job in hand - it's just quite a sight to see it play out.

Khandro, I thought Michelle said she wasn't interested in running for the presidency.

I don't think she looked dowdy. She always looks good in everything she wears. I would guess she didn't want to upstage the new First Lady, who did look stunning.

While I don't agree with the rioting that accompanied the protests in Washington, I am concerned about the USA's choice of president. I don't think the rioting can be compared to British Remainers being unhappy with the result of the referendum.

It's not that people are peeved that the vote(s) didn't go their way; it's people worried about world and national politics.

Great speech without a notice of any prepared speech notes.

The kind of words any ordinary American man or woman would wish to hear, let's hope he can deliver what he promises them.

But did you see the look on that Obama woman's face, unlike her husband who was all smiles? Pity she couldn't accept the fact that she is now no longer 'First Lady'.

I don't think is was about her giving up her role, she was thinking and showing her distaste of the new POTUS.

Oh...and it wasn't a good speech. It was full of promises that his supporters may want to hear,and he may not be able to keep. One article I read last night described it as being more like a campaign speech.
