What do you want to know Naomi?
There is a very funny sketch in today's Times likening Trump to Mr Toad, with Theresa ratting the bone China at him and seducing him with a cucumber ... sandwich or two at the palace
Can't stand that Leftie woman.

I'm sure she'll be inconsolable when she finds out you can't stand her.
All this talk about Trump (who has only been in office for 8 days) and the suggestion of bringing in torture, is totally hypocritical by those condemning him.

For years Saudi Arabia have had an appalling record on torture and human rights, but we see little criticism towards them, in fact we even continue to sell arms to them.
On television interviews, it is standard practice and understood that questions on any topic may be asked. On this occasion, the President and the Prime Minister gave a summary of what they had discussed and what agreement they had reached. Questions should have been related to these statements.
One does not go to a talk on one subject and then ask the lecturer for their opinion on a completely different issue.

In all her broadcasts and interviews over the last year, Laura Keunsberg could not contain her hatred for Brexit, and now her hatred of Donald Trump. As I said earlier, she was asking the wrong questions at the wrong time in the place in a vainglorious attempt to present herself as a heavyweight media personality, which is something she most certainly isn't.
wrong place
Well Mr Trump hinted - in fact more than hinted - that he would defer to James Mathis on torture and other matters. Which was most welcome.
Mattis
sorry :-)

This point mirrors one earlier in the week by Naomi24 which identified the hypocrisy among those protesting against DT about 'women's rights' i.e where are these protestors voicing their concerns over the treatment of women under Islam?
Who gave the BBC the agenda to be crass and ill mannered on my behalf. Did Lilly Allen script the question for her? Wait for the scweems of anguish when the Brexit Bashing Corporation are left out of the loop at future "press" briefings. They are like spoilt teenagers who cannot wait to show their churlish, brattish tendencies and therefore never pick the right time or place to demonstrate their sullen resentment.

I agree, it was a 'verbal hijacking'.

This implies all viewers

A badly worded question if ever there was one.(reflects Togo's point)
Togo.....Laura Kuenssberg asked Trump a few simple questions, very politely, which he refused to answer. The questions were certainly tough but it was a White House press conference, not a WI Meeting.

So I am at a loss to understand why she is being castigated by, what admittedly, is only a small minority on here this morning, almost all of which belonging to the AB Trump Glee Club.

I want British journalists to continue to ask tough questions of someone who is now President of the United States, and we should be proud of this lady for so doing.
Mikey you are at liberty to decide what standards of behaviour and decorum "suit" you, but you are not at liberty to decide them for me. It was a crude, cringe worthy, typical left wing virtue signalling exercise in the self righteous manner that we have had to put up with for years in the UK from this self regarding organisation that has passed it's sell by date. They do not speak for me, and certainly not in the ignorant and down right spiteful way that they are fond of adopting.
it's funny how laura kuenssberg is now the darling of the left after her questions to president trump; not six months ago, those same commentators were baying for her sacking (and worse) after she dared to be critical of Jeremy corbyn.....
mikey; //I want British journalists to continue to ask tough questions of someone who is now President of the United States,//

There is no denying that, and there are plenty of interviews with Donald Trump to be found on the internet, - he isn't shy of being questioned. The point is that this wasn't an interview situation, they had just given a summary of what that had been conversing about, and questions should have been addressed to those issues.

Also if you look around on the internet, you will find that there are many British people outraged by her insolence and inappropriateness.
Togo....you may have your opinion about Trump, but what I would like an answer to is why Kuenssberg is being "leftie" by asking those questions ?

She was reminding him of things that he said after all.

Just to analyse LK's question a bit further: 'You've praised Russia'..

What is that supposed to mean? I'm sure he has praised Russia for airstrikes against IS positions.

Don't wriggle Mikey. This is my opinion on the crude sixth form attempt at making news rather than reporting the news, which is the only brief or mandate that the BBC has. It does not have the right to misrepresent millions of British people on a world stage and certainly not in such an ignorant and aggressive manner. Do not try to put words into my mouth or attempt to interpret my replies by twisting them. Events such as these bring us ever closer to the day when the Biased Brattish Corporation will be made to fund its own agenda.
