I don’t know of any Brexiteers (and I know a lot) who have been or will gloat. There is nothing to gloat about. The electorate were asked what they wanted and they replied. Nothing to gloat over. Of course we’re delighted that the result went the way it did. Where the groans come in are when we here of the constant winging on from the likes of Clegg, Farron et al trying to suggest that the “people didn’t vote for this” and “the people didn’t vote for that”. They voted for one thing – to leave the EU. That means everything that goes with it. If those voting to leave didn’t want that they should have voted to remain.
A50 should have been triggered on June 24th. The fact that the previous Prime Minister did not (and in fact was not in a position to do so) is entirely his fault. I believe that MPs (who voted 6:1 to grant a referendum) and the Lords have a duty to ensure that the decision of the referendum is implemented – in full – as soon as possible. There were no conditions attached to the question the electorate answered.

Orderlimit....not even slightly "off-topic" !
The only reason that May produced a Bill, for Parliament to vote on today, is because the Supreme Court told her she had to. She could have done this last year, without wasting any more public money, and we would be further down the line.
Instead, she chose the Fools Errand of challenging the High Court.

Davemano....If she had brought a White paper or a Bill before Parliament last year, there wouldn't have been a challenge.
The Bill would have been debated and a very similar, if not the same result would have ensued.
All she has done is waste time, and money, entirely unnecessarily, and be made to look a fool into the bargain.
