Drug Probe At Randox
This news story appears worrying to me, not only because Randox Testing Services drug results appear to have been compromised, but the following two statements from Randox (contained in the BBC news story) are contradictory.
http://
Statement 1
The firm, based in Northern Ireland, said the investigation centres on the "manipulation of quality control data, which supports test results".
Statement 2
"There is no question mark over the RTS quality system or the robustness of our practices and procedures."
As someone who works with laboratory quality control systems, to me statement 1 means that there is a very worrying question mark over the RTS quality system and/or the robustness of their practices and procedures – and worse still, they seem oblivious to this fact.
