oh dear...all a bit frantic yet..eye witnesses seem to think the car mowed folks down..one into river..also say there were shots ? no other activity other than the car on the bridge..perhaps not terrorist but a couple of nutters running amok !!

Murraymints, apart from the incident on the bridge in which several people have been seriously injured, at least one killed, a policeman was stabbed in the grounds of parliament and the attacker was shot. The police are saying it's a terrorist incident.

someone from car stabbed the policeman..I know it has been declared terrorist but on what basis...no mention of any other bad guys..just the car....

I think the incident on the bridge was intended to be a distraction to draw attention away from the MP's entrance to parliament and allow the knifeman to get in. If this was a terrorist incident it comes over, fortunately, as a failure compared with other attempts in France and Germany. Only 1 person killed (so far) and a few, including a policeman, injured. The distraction failed and all the perpetrators have been caught. Well done the police.

Wasn't there a anti terrorism 'rehersal' (For want of a better terminology) on the Thames a few days ago? Maybe those in charge of such matters suspected something.
