Yet another Trump failure. Is there no longer any doubt that Trump just doesn't have what it takes to be President ?

Will this guy EVER admit he was wrong and apologize for anything? Nothing is ever his fault!! He did not 'just miss' getting it through , it was a mile out, never stood a chance!

// The only Pres to resign was Richard Nixon, the 37th U.S.and, is best remembered for resigning for Watergate.//

yes remember - 'my dad is NOT a crook!" - Nixon's daughter

but boys and girls remember that America was NOT badly governed when watergate was in full swing and Nixon and his cohorts were spending up to 90% of their time discussing how to get out of watergate
Yes, there is something of the 'oil tanker' about the US economy. It will plough on despite politics. For a while.
Presidents don't get removed from office for their incompetence do they ? ( not yet).

By the way, am I the only person who is becoming increasingly irritated with the way that Trump can't speak without waving his hands in the air ?

Make your mind up ... you said he did that to mock the disabled.
He did mock a disabled reporter. He used different hand movements for that!
Avatar Image mikey4444 // Lets not forget how disastrous this failure is for Trump.//

Ha ha ha.
Sorry, ummmm ... I had no idea there were specific hand movements designed to mock the disabled.
Trump uses those hand gestures to describe people(especially himself) in a panic.
Plenty of vids showing that to be true.
But why let the truth get in the way of blind hatred, eh?
Their is, Talbot, especially when he was mocking a specific person.
I'd tend to regard this as a failure of the Republican Party rather than Trump. Sure, it shows that his skills as a negotiator come up short in politics, but that's because the people he is dealing with are apparently incapable of recognising that "all or nothing" is a position you just can't take in politics if you want to get things done. If reports are to be believed even Trump recognised that this time.

So the end product of seven years of screaming about how bad Obamacare is (for reasons that still aren't clear to me are anything to do with Obama, rather the deals he had to do to get any form of healthcare Act through himself), the Republicans finally have control of everything. And then realise that this means it's up to them to work out what the new law should be, and that for some reason none of them gave a thought to that in the last seven years. Or, at least, they never bothered to work on their proposal together.

The Republican Party is broken. This, perhaps more than anything else, is why Trump is president. Who knows, maybe next time American voters will recognise that?
Now he's apparently upset that son in law/adviser Jared Kushner and daughter Ivanka have been off skiing during this crucial time. Oh the shame of it...
Actually Jim, that makes sense re the republicans being in a political mess, had they not been, Trump would never have gotten near the presidency, ?
And the Democrats who were not in a mess failed to get their candidate inside the White House.

An experienced candidate got beat by a crap inexperienced candidate ... what does that say about her?

A good post, Jim. Again I think one or two on this thread should thank you for the info provided.

Some very poor quality support from the Glee Club I notice this morning !

Trump has cocked this up big time. Instead of talking to his own Party and getting them alongside, he has tried to rush this through. Not only rush it through, but he has tried to browbeat people into supporting it.....and guess what.....the Republicans didn't want to play ball....his own Party !

Perhaps he is starting to realise that running a country is not like running his own company....he can't bully people into going along with everything he says, or even some of the things he says any longer.

I say perhaps but my gut reaction is that he won't change the ways of a lifetime. He is far too much of a big head....a big head with small hands.
What a pity Jim's excellent post was passed over for that so called best answer.

Jim....." Who knows, maybe next time American voters will recognise that?"

The difficulty here is that most Americans DID recognise that the Republican Party is broken.........that is why Hilary got more votes !

did he have much credibility to start with, i know he got in but it was on the back of spurious promises, which as we can see can't be met, too much opposition.
Well, clearly that doesn't hold because the Republican party got more seats in Congress and the Senate. That's the level I was talking about. The president isn't the be-all and end-all of US politics; that this Healthcare Bill failed was a failure of Congress not the president. OK, Trump played his part, but this act would have been written (and rejected) no matter the Republican President that stood up and tried this.
Congress kicks out Senate Bill.
Lords kicks out Commons Bill.
It is all part of Political life...some you win, some you lose.
mikey has had a rough time in the last 6 months and now is the time for him to collect some satisfaction.
From one of the "Glee Club".
