What was the sense in killing an innocent little puppy?

I don't believe that the notion that cruelty to an animal equates to a psychotic personality, or that someone who would do that would be equally dismissive of murdering a person.

I think the burglars simply found a practical solution to a problem for them, and gave it no more thought that that.

If they had kicked the dog or caused an injury with, say, one punch. I could maybe not think so badly of them.

But to kill a puppy by drowning takes effort and time - most criminals are not sadistic killers so anyone who can kill a defenceless animal in such a way is a potential danger. It was a cowardly attack that was not required.

There are some evil bas***ds out there. A lady at work had her house broken into and the burglars had opened the hamster cage belonging to her little girl and thrown the hamster against the wall to kill it, hardly anything to do with the poor animal alerting anyone.

Andy, I'm frankly flabberghasted that you buck scholarly opinion by not linking intentional unnecessary harm to animals with psychopathic tendencies especially as there have been so many and such wide ranging studies on the subject upholding the fact. Why do you think this?

If someone is callous enough to injure a small dog they are capable of hurting a human being. It is supposed to part of our nature as adult humans to protect those who are unable to defend themselves.

Whoever did this isn't 'right in the head' and devoid of any compassion or empathy. The studies linking abuse to animals to murder and vicious assaults of humans is widely accepted and proven.

Hopefully someone will be disgusted at this crime and tell the police where he is.

They probably killed the puppy to keep it quiet - a barking dog could alert neighbours.

It's unlikely they went to the trouble of filling a bath just for the fun of killing a dog, but who knows? You have to hope the poor animal didn't suffer too much.




I don't agrre, the easiest way to shut up a pup is to pick it up. These scumbags took some perverse kind of pleasure in killing this dog.
