For better or worse the French people have made their choice, why can't the Left accept that?

Mikey, as one who cries 'racism' frequently, perhaps you'd like to tell me why you want hordes of economic migrants flooding into Europe?
No naomi that isn't the main argument against Le Pen. No one wants 'hordes of economic migrants' flooding France or anywhere else, but her party of ultra right wing isolationists propounds solutions they would be disastrous for France. THAT is the issue. It's also the point spectacularly missed by the far left rioters, who are equally as bad.
Recent turn outs for General Elections :::

2015...............66.1%
2010...............65.1%
2005...............61.4%
2001................59.4%

In the two land-mark Elections :::

1997..................71.4%
1979..................76%
TCL: "One of Le Pen's policies is to impose a tax on businesses employing foreigners, sounds racist to me" - that's more like French jobs for the French, ie protectionism, a policy traditionally beloved of the left!
Yes, a marked decline in turnout since the late 90s. Just when the internet was becoming prevalent and people could educate themselves more than previous generations. Coincidence do you think?
Zacs...perhaps, perhaps.

I think its more to do with voter apathy and down-right laziness. I keep coming across people who moan continually but then say they don't vote ! They seem to want their cake and eat it to.
"No they are not. I have you down as a sensible poster but what you have said above is bullcrap"

What's wrong with it?

/// Oh dear I have to get the idea of the Le Pen cleavage out of my mind now ///

Still no need for a 'bust' up on the streets of Paris.

Well ichkeria has stepped up to the oche, and answered naomi's question, but the trouble is he has chosen to speak for everyone.

I am sure that is not a true reflection of some other's opinions, if I am wrong would those others
care to lay their cards on the table and confirm that they are also against swarms of economic migrant flooding Europe?

ichkeria at 13:27, dance around it all you like but it's the main argument on here, and it is here that my question applies.
Me, AOG, I'm against it.
It's how you deal with problems AOG, not whether you think they ARE problems or not. Le Pen's party uses issues like immigration, legal or otherwise, as an excuse for extreme measures that are largely irrelevant and potentially very damaging for her country. Furthermore she is being egged on by France's enemies. She has been courted by the Russian leader who has used her for his own ends and she's also turned to dubious sources of finance internally.
I too am against it aog and I think that's an excellent post of naomi's, however I fear it is already too late ...
Well said Ich.
French jobs for the French isn't dismissable as just "protectionism", it's simply common sense for France. One deliberately displaces one of one's own citizens only when there is no alternative. Merchants with no national loyalty, and their eyes on their profit margins, don't care for that obligation; but citizens who have to fund welfare (and would prefer their country's wealth to stay within it's borders) should be in favour.

I'll be so glad come May 8 when Le Pen has been trounced, the idiotic violent protesters can get back in their boxes and the ridiculous fuss being made of her can abate for at least a while.
Until the legislative elections in June :-)

But the muppets rioting last night were not just against Le Pen they were also against Macron.

Everybody on this thread is condemning the violence, Talbot.

Perhaps they are frightened of having a racist as their President AOG ?
Le Pen is a racist and is the Leader of a racist party AOG

You must see something I don't in the above ... what is it that I am missing?

Well indeed Talbot there are some people who'd riot in protest at their own shadows. I have no time for them.
I do not seriously think Mikey endorses violence, and I'm not sure you do either.

Of course people who moan continuously didn't vote. They have more to moan about than those who found someone worth supporting. Not only are the government not doing what they want, no alternative candidates would have either; so they only had options to encourage someone they didn't approve of, or have the courage to opt not to. They have no cake, neither to want nor to eat.
