Would he have still been thrown out if he had been a muslim and said gay marriage was against his religion ? I somehow think not.

The Bible was mainly written in ancient Hebrew or Aramaic rather than Greek.
The term Homosexuality didn't exist until 1869, when it first first appeared in a work by Karl-Maria Kertbeny. The word was then further brought into common use by Richard von Krafft-Ebing, and is now the accepted term.

All before Biblical times !
Mikey stop being pedantic, the bible forbids sex between smae sex couples. It does not matter what you call it.
1869 Was before Biblical times?

The real big one when it comes to 'Unforgivable Sin' is to blaspheme against the Holy Spirit - steer clear of that one if you can.
the Bible also suggests that only those without sin should cast the first stone... good to see so many sin-free around the internet.
Danny....The Bible on prohibits sex between same sex couples if you believe in the Bible, and I don't believe in the Bible. As an atheist, I can make my own mind up about these things and don't have to rely on ancient texts to do that for me !

And it certainly never mentions "gay marriage", which is the central point of Dave's thread above.

Somewhat at odds with 15:38 Mikey

///Most of the Old Testament was written in Hebrew and other ancient languages, and then translated into Greek///.

While the Bible disapproves of homosexual acts, it does not condone hatred of homosexuals or homophobia. Instead, Christians are directed to “respect everyone.”—1 Peter 2:17
Regarding the scriptures...

In much of the Bible, especially the Old Testament, there are laws that command that people be killed for absurd reasons such as working on the Sabbath, being gay, cursing your parents, or not being a virgin on your wedding night.

In addition to these crazy and immoral laws, there are plenty of examples of God’s irrationality by his direct killing of many people for reasons that defy any rational explanation such as killing children who make fun of bald people, and the killing of a man who tried to keep the ark of God from falling during transport.

There are also countless examples of mass murders commanded by God, including the murder of women, infants, and children.
Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel. (Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT)
Whoever strikes his father or mother shall be put to death. (Exodus 21:15 NAB)
Mikey, thoughts have been bandied about as they always are when something doesn’t suit the ‘bandier’s’ agenda, but it doesn’t really matter what it translates into. The point is the Church believes and teaches that homosexuality is an abomination. Whether or not a Muslim in this man’s situation would have been thrown out is debateable, but somehow I doubt it.

By the way, when you hook information from the internet it’s usual to post the source.
If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10 NLT)
SP.....this "God" isn't terribly merciful is he ?
Kill Women Who Are Not Virgins On Their Wedding Night

But if this charge is true (that she wasn’t a virgin on her wedding night), and evidence of the girls virginity is not found, they shall bring the girl to the entrance of her fathers house and there her townsman shall stone her to death, because she committed a crime against Israel by her unchasteness in her father’s house. Thus shall you purge the evil from your midst. (Deuteronomy 22:20-21 NAB)
SO....putting people to death because their religion says so !

This reminds me of something but I can't see to remember what !
ISIS?
