Europe's open door policy since WW2 is one of the stupidest things we have done (or not controlled).

It has ruined Europe and will drag Europe down to third world levels.

There are parts of the UK that are now more like Pakistan or India than the UK, with all the lack of "standards" that those countries have got.

I used to love being English and living in England, now I am ashamed of the country.

Many parts of Europe are now finished thanks to right-on liberal thinking. Eventually the Islamic caliphate they say they want to recreate across Europe will come to pass.

I wonder what the history books will say about people like Bliar, Camoron and Merkel? That if you can read Arabic of course.

Indeed it is not. Many parts of Europe (including the UK) now more closely resemble arts of the so-called “developing world” (of which I have visited plenty) than those parts of the world themselves.

Unfortunately there are many doubters. I don’t know why this is. I visit many parts of the UK and the continent. I’m particularly familiar with London and have taken some overseas (US and Canadian) visitors to them in recent months. Many of those visitors cannot believe they are in a European capital city. They are absolutely amazed not only at the preponderance of non-white faces there, but more surprised at the influence that the newcomers have had upon the environment.

Those who believe that these influxes introduce “vibrancy” to the capital should take a trip to some of the areas. A week or so ago I had the misfortune to be in Woolwich at about 7pm. I had to walk a short way from Woolwich Arsenal station. The area is atrocious. The number of different races milling around in incalculable but that is not really the problem. The area resembles some of the worst areas in African and Asian towns that I have visited. There was an air of depression, despondency and degradation aplenty. It simply resembled a third world shanty town with predominantly third world inhabitants.

So no, Woolwich (among many other places) is not stuck in the time that I remember it. Woolwich used to be a nice place. Now it resembles the Old Bazaar in Cairo but without the pyramids. And it’s down purely to the massive influx of foreigners that has been allowed to accumulate in places like it.

Well said, NJ. I moved out of London, as the area I lived in had become totally unrecognisable as the place I had moved to 18 years previously, parts of it very like the Woolwich you describe. I didn't want to be an ethnic minority

totally agree, yet when i have said what it's like living here in the capital i have essentially been called a bigot, racist..

i said on here years ago what would happen that the UK would be dragged backwards, in many of the things we take for granted, and was loudly booed on here as being
anti Islamic and racist. Now that its coming to pass, what should be done, accept no more people wherever they come from or just let us be swamped again.
We need immigrants of the right calibre, not more simple economic migrants.

That's because you have not embraced the vibrancy and excitement of cultural diversity. The smell of curry wafting down the street from Asian restaurants, the gentle rhythm of the bongos from the Caribbean clubs, the call to prayer from the minaret; what's not to like?

I am not a racist (nor for that matter necessarily a UKIPPER).

There is nothing to "embrace" about the "cultural diversity" you describe. What exists are areas containing large numbers of people who have decamped from various degenerate sh1tholes across the globe. They arrived in the UK, ostensibly, to seek a better life. Whilst their lives may have improved (in many cases immeasurably) what they have succeeded in doing is replicating the sh1tholes they left in areas such as those I describe. They have done this because, instead of being forced to adapt to the conditions extant in the UK they have been encouraged to live in exactly the same way as they did before they left “home”. People already in the UK has thus been forced to accommodate their considerably lower standards.

Those who enjoy living in squalor and degradation will be well provided for and pleased to embrace the "vibrancy" such conditions provide. Those of us who enjoy a slightly more civilised existence, who do not relish the thought of being surrounded by filth and shabbiness, will be less than impressed. It isn’t very pleasant to see the area in which you may have once been proud to live reduced to third world squalor. There’s nothing “vibrant” about places like Woolwich. They are simply being reduced to third world style ghettos with everything that entails and far from being anything to celebrate, it’s an utter disgrace.
