unclear what the PM means by "public consent" - I assume the UK will be asked to vote on whether the Scots can have round 2 of their neverendum! I'd vote for it!

"Until the Brexit issue has 'played out'"
You have to love that way of putting it. Did she really say or write that?
David Davis on the trombone, Boris in a turban on the whisky, .... and Liam Fox running the hell for his life I guess!
♫ Round like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning on an ever spinning reel
Like a snowball down a mountain, or a carnival balloon
Like a carousel that's turning running rings around the moon
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes of its face
And the world is like an apple whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find in the windmills of your mind! ♫
yeah I agree - the neverendum was a bad idea
they should have just said - you;re in the EU. get used to it. end of.

PP talks only in riddles, I need translation.
ahem ...
I didn't think that was rude either. Disparaging perhaps.

I'd vote for it BTW,.
Well, someone else must have thought so - it's gone.

Anyway, enough said on that.
I didn't think it was rude either, but that aside I'd vote for it too.
I'd vote for it - Them leaving that is so we can draw a line under it all. Be sad to see them go but if that is what they want then who am I to stop them. Currently the whole of the UK is being dragged down by the uncertainty.
Where does it say anything about a vote to permit a second referendum?
//A second independence referendum will not be held unless there is "public consent" for it to happen, the Conservative election manifesto says.//

Can't really see how public opinion can be assessed unless the public is asked to give an opinion.
Surely the public will hold the opinion that their elected representatives tell them they hold ?
Only if they vote Labour. ;o)
I have to confess, that although a rabid Tory, I am not sure what she means by 'public consent'. I do hope she isn't going to blow this one.
We shall see.
