I've often wondered how I could defend myself if someone suddenly came forward and said that I'd groped them in the dressing room after a gig in 1979 in, say, a pub in London. If there were no witnesses, it would be just her word against mine; but how on earth could I prove that it is not true?
goodgoalie, you may have been to 100s of gigs but the (as example) abused 14 year old girl wouldn't have been and for some people a traumatic experience remains a very vivid memory. For you it would have been just another gig - for her it would be a huge experience and shock.
I have driven many cars in my life time over many thousands of miles but the journey I can remember in every horrifying detail is the one that ended in a fatality.
I know I've mentioned it before (probably more than once) but I still don't understand how Bill Wyman has never been at least arrested for the Mandy Smith affair.
khandro - // The whole business has been a disgraceful shambles and anyone who has gloated over it should be ashamed of themselves.
I am sure no-one on here has 'gloated' but from what perspective do you view this as a 'shambles' - that Harris was not convicted, or that he was charged in the first place?
