Unhelpful and undignified.

Is Twitter really the right place for the POTUS to be addressing the world?

no reason for anyone to be concerned at police under the Tories: 6781 officers and staff vanished last year as the Tories (Home Secretary: May) imposed cuts. Actual police officer numbers: down 2326.

Obviously all Corbyn's fault. No way the actual government can be blamed for this. Certainly their supporters won't accept that the government bears any responsibility for the deaths of innocent people.
You see how it is? We are quick learners, and can easily adopt the Newspeak tactics of the libz and luvs when it suits us. Be ready for more confected attitude and misunderstood intention. It works for some, let it work for all. :))
jno, nice try, but the government hasn't killed those people. The blame lies squarely with those who did - but best not mention that. I'm surprised some of you aren't dizzy with all the spinning you do!!
naomi, do you think slashing police numbers is a good idea or not?

Do you think more police would help prevent terror attacks or not?
jno, police don't prevent terror attacks. Specialist security services and counter-terrorism teams do that.
and of course there haven't been any cuts to security services ... ?

Blame Corbyn!
like it or not, and I hate it, Twitface is the modern way, I think he was sincere. Compare his tweets to Alistair Campbell's outpourings and DT looks like the voice of reason.
TTT...Trump wouldn't recognise sincerity if it hit him in the face.
You're getting confused, jno. I haven't mentioned Corbyn in relation to cuts. Why would I? That would be silly.

Actually, I think our police did magnificently last night, as did the emergency services. Full credit to all of them.
Mikey, I disagree, but your comment could be perceived as a case of pot and kettle, so careful. ;o)
have you seen the thread about one of your noo Labour luvvies comparing ISIS with Bexiters mikey?
Trump misquoted Khan.

I don't know whether he did it deliberately or just misunderstood him, but I've read Mayor Khan's actual quote and I don't think that Trump characterised what he said accurately.

And to say that the we are not taking terrorism seriously, when the War on Terror has now been going on for sixteen years (a decade longer than World War II) is frankly ludicrous.
Imagine if Mayor Khan were to criticise US gun legislation the next time there was a mass shooting in the U.S.?

How many times has there been threads on AB after a spree killing? Too many times. But if Mayor Khan or any other leader in the UK tweeted criticism of a system which allows any loon with a grudge to buy a gun online without any form of background check, it would be seen as extremely distasteful.
Trump should concentrate on his own presidency and country, a decent prime minister should be standing up for her elected mayor of London .

I suspect Trump uses twitter because otherwise his message will be changed, twisted and generally not be delivered how he wants it.

However, sometimes it goes a little bit haywire when he's left alone with his phone and Twitter feed.

If Trump creates a sea change of attitudes in a positive way and makes a real difference to the world's problems, then it doesn't matter to me which tools he uses.

The flip side is that his regularcomes across as lazy, antagonistic and undignified.

Many like his style but many more don't.

*regular use of Twitter*

time lag grrr..
anneasquith, //a decent prime minister should be standing up for her elected mayor of London . //

Has Mrs May criticised him? Do you know what she's said about it? A link would be helpful.
///a decent prime minister should be standing up for her elected mayor of London .///

Or perhaps, a Prime Minister would be standing up for a decent elected mayor of Londonistan. :))
The issue is naomi, has TM actually supported the mayor since the tweets from Trump, he deserves that at least.
