Vile Tory Spin On Corbyn And ' Shoot To Kill '
68 Answers
Let's be clear - the quotes now doing the rounds are from a news report TWO YEARS AGO which was SLAMMED AS INACCURATE by the BBC Trust.
The Tory spin doctors have shamefully used a terrorist attack for electoral advantage, by promoting the video through underhand 'social media' tactics.
This is the condemnation from the BBC Trust of the BBC's own lamentable journalism :

Last night Jeremy Corbyn ACTUALLY said :
"Police must have “full authority” to use “whatever force is necessary to protect and save life.”

Trying to get an electoral advantage from a terror attack - is that the sort of 'principled leadership' you want from a candidate to be our PM?

No - I'm not, TTT - unlike some people I don't have to 'be happy' and post kneejerk defences of everything someone does.
But what about using terror attacks for cheap electoral advantage - are you happy with that?
Scooping - two years ago he was against a 'global shoot to kill policy' - but accepted that it was necessary at critical moments of a terror attack - that was conveniently 'lost in the edit' by the BBC.

Naomi - JC has changed nothing.
He has always said that a global shoot to kill policy can be dangerous and counter-productive - BUT he has also always said that in the critical moment of a terror attack it is be necessary to use “whatever force is necessary to protect and save life.”
The BBC misrepresenting his views was wrong (and admitted to be so) in 2015 - it's even more despicable of the Tories to dig up the old interview now for cheap electoral advantage.
