/// 'They have encouraged the pernicious doctrine of 'multiculturalism' — which is just a fancy word for apartheid and has created vast, monocultural Muslim ghettoes in our great cities . . . ///

/// 'The politicians have opened the floodgates to mass immigration without insisting on integration. They pretend that every culture, no matter how medieval and barbaric, is worthy of equal respect. ///

jackdaw - //Why am I not surprised at a-h's response? //

I have no idea.

Is there a prize if I guess?

On second thoughts, I don't really care anway.
TTT - //Andy, as mikey would say, you are playing the man, have a go at the ball eh? //

If, as Mr Littlejohn, and Ms. Hopkins do, you make your living as a 'personality' columnist, then your shtick is that you 'tell it like it is' (chortle) and your views are entirely and completely personal.

So on that basis, you are willing to be called for your views - because they are inseparable from your 'personality', so I am playing the ball, because in this case, the man and the ball are the same thing.
AOG - ///// 'Blind prejudice and broad-stroke ethnic-hating for white people with no notion of what the word 'complex' means. ///

Did anyone mention the colour of skin?

Muslims come in all shades, between white and black. //

Muslims do - but they are not Mr Littlejohn's target audience, or his readership - are they?
AOG - // /// I read the Mail every day, but I have not read a word he has said for as long as I can remember. ///

Then I don't think that you are in a position to comment. //

I read your link, so actually, I am in a position to comment.
Agchristie - //Andy Hughes > I read the Mail every day, but I have not read a word he has said for as long as I can remember.

Do you receive a special edition from the delivery boy/girl who tears out the page before putting the paper through the door? :- //

What a fabulous idea! But in the meantime, I’ll use this fantastic trick I’ve found – I can just turn over a page I don’t want to read, and hey presto! I don’t have to read it!

It works with TV as well, I can turn over, or off, and avoid any programme I don’t want to watch, people should try it! (LOL)

//When I read the posts from the start, I wondered when the first reference to Katie Hopkins would be!

You're no fan of Jan Moir either are you?! //

I’m no fan of lazy journalism for lazy people.

I don’t need Hopkins, Moir or Littlejohn to do what they do every day – draw a picture of a horse, and then write ‘This is a horse’ underneath it.

I watch and read the same media they do, I inhabit the same country, I am perfectly capable of reading and hearing information and making my own opinions, I don’t need it fed to me by right-wing agitators praying on fear and insecurity to pump people up even more.
OUCH! ;-)
Charming!
By the way, just to be wholly pedantic, the word you were looking for is preying, not praying.
Sorry, when I said // I inhabit the same country, // I should have qualified that -

What I meant to say was, I inhabit the same country all the time, I don't spout pointless vitriol from my other home thousands of miles away from the UK, and pop over during the footie season.
jackdaw - //By the way, just to be wholly pedantic, the word you were looking for is preying, not praying. //

I stand corrected - thanks - it's the result of my brain working faster than my keyboard.
AG - //OUCH! ;-) //

xx

//it's the result of my brain working faster than my keyboard//

No it isn't. If that were the reason the correct word would have appeared.
Just admit for once you got it wrong.
Is there a ranty_hughes.com?
several people killed in a shooting in Orlando today. What has Mr Littlejohn to say about that, I wonder?
Baldric - ////it's the result of my brain working faster than my keyboard//

No it isn't. If that were the reason the correct word would have appeared.
Just admit for once you got it wrong. //

My PC does not automatically correct text, but if it means that much to you, I have no problem admitting that I inadvertently used an incorrect word - which we all do from time to time.

So yes, I made a mistake, and for a second time, I am happy to apologise.

OK now?
douglas - // Is there a ranty_hughes.com? //

No, but assuming you haven't copyrighted it maybe I should start one!

Of course it's ok Andy, I am just surprised you admitted it.
Baldric - //Of course it's ok Andy, I am just surprised you admitted it. //

You shouldn't be.

I have no problem at all admitting when I make a mistake, and similarly, if I believe I am wrong, I am happy to say so, and apologise if appropriate.

Perhaps your confusion occurs when other people think I am wrong, and I should apologise, which of course is a different matter.

How on earth would your PC know which word you meant?
