Laura Kuenssberg has just said that the Tories are privately saying that they will no longer have an overall majority.

May is now dead in the water.

This is very strange because I thought labour would never be able to win unless they captured Scotland- yet it seems the tortes are doing well there

I've never before stayed up for the results but I'm quite enjoying this......it's interesting and promising for the future.....not the near future of course....but if the change I feel is happening that's a good thing....x

Smowy...there are 650 MPs in Parliament. For any one Party to have an overall majority, it will have to gain at least 326 seats.

In 2015, the Tories got 331 seats, but if the Exit Poll is correct, then they may only now get 314.

Therefore May, or whoever is the Tory PM after tomorow, will need to get help from other Parties to get their legislation through.
