all the partys are equally bad in my opinion sadly, all seem rather weak without cohesion
and to much infighting back stabbing or brown mouths, seems it's always been this way though.
im getting tired of all of it, they promise much but never deliver.
fiction-factory, ww2 got the nation united etc, bull dog spirit as they say, he was a good orator then, as for his later years thats another story, but as we are at war so to speak with militant islam, i dont hear any voices of ...like churchill during ww2
i also think we have to many feckless workshy voters who would prefer to live on benefits, afraid of getting up on dark winter mornings or any mornings for that matter, corbyn gives them hope of staying on benefits for life and maybe even more benefits...
True Para, the thing is though, in a democracy the vote of the wilfully idle carries the same weight as a grafter. He or she can vote to make the stupid provider work harder, to keep them in the manner to which they are accustomed.
Mikey, //Corbyn did much, much than expected....get used to it ! //
Corbyn lost. Get used to it.
I seriously wonder what Labour voters really want, but from what I gather it boils down to what they call a 'fairer society', which means robbing what they deem to be the ‘rich’ to pay for what they consider to be the ‘poor’ – completely disregarding the potential result of that. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but thinking required, chaps!
The only thing that Corbyn did was to lure students into voting on an a promise to abolish tuition fees, and that the same will happen again unless the students can see through it.
Sorry Naomi - 50 days ago you and most of the Tory fellow travellers on AB were crowing that Mrs May would deliver a Tory landslide which would sweep the tattered remnants of the Labour Party into oblivion for the rest of time.
Instead we have a crippled "Conservative AND Unionist" party making pacts with terrorists to keep themslves afloat.
Whilst (like it or not) Jeremy Corbyn has demonstrated that a proper left of centre alternative not only exists but is damn close to electoral success.
Corbyn lost the election, Naomi....we know that.....but he gained an awful lot....He has knocked the feet from under the Conservatives though and that is a good start......
Thinking required?.....Thinking is what brought about the surprises on election night.......and now seeing what acting on those thoughts can achieve seems to have you worried......or maybe just a bit miffed.....x
Sunny-Dave, I never said the Tories would deliver a landside - and I'm on record here as saying I wouldn't like to hazard a guess at the way this election would go. People never cease to amaze me - and once again, they haven't failed me.
