Talbot, and a nice, if not too bright, early start. :o)
If she listens to other parties she will be ignoring the will of the majority of the electorate, whom Mikey contemptuously calls ‘a few people with UKIP views’.
The medium an long interests of Britain as a whole revolve around regaining control and getting rid of the unnecessary impositions demanded in order to trade with the EU market and allow the market to trade with us. It was the major reason for us plucking up our courage and voting to leave, and can not be allowed to be retained after Brexit even if the EU wish to cut off their nose to spite their face and cause a small hit to both our economies for a short while (by insisting on them), whilst we replace trade with the EU with trade elsewhere.
We need no restrictions on trade elsewhere nor unjustifiable demands in order to agree a mutually benificial arrangement with what remains as the EU. If unreasonable folk insist on them then we take our custom elsewhere, as any shopper would facing unreasonable demands at a high street shop.
There should be a cross party team selected to conduct the way forward and deal with negotiations, with equal numbers of remoaners and leavers on board, and why not include Farage, after all he was the major player in the whole brexit thing, I cannot get my head round Theresa May leading talks when she was so much against leaving and to me, is not strong enough to lead the talks.
St P...I am minded to agree with you on a cross-Party response to this problem, but have no sympathy with your view that Farage should be involved. He has no right or position in the UK Parliament to participate in its affairs.
Hans, I’ve said from the beginning that I think the result of the referendum will be reneged on. I’ve no doubt that we won’t be getting out of Europe in the way we wanted to get out of Europe – in fact it wouldn’t surprise me one iota if we don’t get out at all.
Mikey ....... if Farage has no right to participate, then what about the unelected, faceless members of the EU who will have a major say in our destiny, Farage should be given a place imho!
