I have ever understood why Betty has to continually re-open Parliament every year. Once after an Election should be sufficient I would have thought.

Yes it's now right in the middle of Royal Ascot which starts on Tuesday 20th ! The Queen will NOT be amused !
The already delayed Queen's Speech was scheduled for tomorrow Monday so it was a day before Royal Ascot! Now it's right in the middle of the 3 day event!
