Oh Dear, perhaps the "suicide bomber" was trying to derail the Brexit negotiations. Democracy died 12 months ago, we are in thrall to the controllers and policy benders.
I've just heard this from a friend who lived in Brussels. I worked in the Cantersteen, right at the back of the Centraal Station - and we had a machine gun guard right across from the office - what with my co, Aeroflop, Turkish Airlines and El Al (literally right beneath me!), it was some assurance.
We are now literally at the mercy of bush and blairs mistakes!
We can't afford bombproofed cars, bullet proofed planes, teams of round the clock armed protection, no us who never wanted the wars are the most likely to be injured or killed whilst the the ex presidents and prime ministers swan and mince around the globe getting paid for their spewage.
the Centrale/Centraal Station is all 'underground' albeit shallow, lying about 1/2 a mile from both the north station (Noord/Nord) and the south (Zuid/Midi) - it is from these latter two that most European trains arrive and depart, Centraal with its connections then to the airport and the country at large.
Was talking to my friend who has done many tours in war hell holes and he told me that when the army leaves these places to fend for themselves there will be about 10 years of rockiness and stability issues bu then these places will become peaceful edens hence my "Europe is now more dangerous than Kabul, Beirut, Baghdad and Aleppo!"
The French take the mickey out of the Belgians just as we do with the Irish. Their police are at fault here; the man should have been gunned down and killed before he had a chance to detonate his explosives. It could have been much worse.
