I heard this live on PM yesterday ::

Much merriment was had by all, when Abbot suffered in a similar fashion, but Boris was just as bad....he came over as a complete pillock

he ought to have had the answers ready, ummmm - he's the foreign secretary, he's in the cabinet, he should have been there during the policy discussions - or they ought to have put up someone else to do the interview. I don't have a problem with people unable to remember exact figures and having to look them up; but not knowing about whole areas that the government...

//I quite like Boris too//
me too but as an amusing acquaintance down the local, not as a government minister

// Anyone can struggle in an interview if they don't know what's going to asked.//

excuse me ? in the 60s Harold Wilson would demand the questions and in one David Frost put in one unknown one as a surprise.
Wilson was

Now all you can ask is: what take are you gonna do on this ?
( for us mortals anyway)

I thought BoJo felt he could get away with jubbling his hair
saying a bit of Latin and that would be it
( and looking cute )

horses for courses I suppose

Eddie Mair sensed that Boris was stymied and went in for the kill, and who can blame him.

aelmpvw is 100% correct. Boris would be a marvellous companion for a night down the Pub. He would keep all around amused for hours with anecdotes. As regards
his political abilities, I think its too early to write him off just yet.

May will be gone soon, one way or the other, and generally speaking, people like Boris, which is more than you can say for most in his Party.

He may yet rise to the occasion !

cometh the hour - cometh the man

Any truth in the rumour he's been put in charge of wiff-waffle?

lol Dougie !

(by the way, I have never heard of any body call Table Tennis, "whiff-whaff", other than Boris )
"Can I just finish and make my point? Err ... errr... errr. we...err"

I'm sure Eddie Mair would have been only to happy to let BoJo make his point... if he had one!
I thought Eddie Mair was razor-sharp when he said
“This is not a two Ronnie’s sketch you don’t get to answer the question before last”

Eddie Mair has been one of my favourite BBC interviewers for some time now !
The thing is Mikey is that Boris has more chance of becoming PM that your Corbyn!!

I have fond memories of Mair interviewing the twin brother of the Policeman that was blinded by Raoul Moat in 2010. PC Rathbone was shot by Moat, lost his sight altogether, and hanged himself 2 years later.

Mair interviewed his twin brother, Darran Rathbone, live on the PM program and it was quite the most emotional interview I had ever heard. I have tried to find a recording of it but have not been successful.
Islay 12;32,now you have got me worried,do you really think that Wurzal Gummage could really become a PM, do you mean here in the UK, or some far off distant land. If you mean the UK , God in heaven help us.

That ^^ is how the majority of intelligent people feel about Comrade Corbin.
> do you really think that Wurzal Gummage could really become a PM...

Except that Boris is not a man of straw....
Boris Johnson, said Peter Dowd (Lab, Bootle), kept embarrassing Theresa May with his outspoken remarks.

Did she now think that, when she pencilled “FO” against Boris's name in early June, “it should have been an instruction, rather than a job offer”.
I think even the Cons are worried about Boris the Bufoon, becoming the PM, we will have to change the meaning of PM to PRIME MUPPET if he does.
