"50 EDL protesters made their way from a pub near Trafalgar Square to a rally on the Victoria Embankment"
Well there's their problem right there^
If they wanted to be taken seriously then maybe not staggering out of pubs looking like a phil mitchell lookalike competition.
It sounds and looks like an act of war, hence there maybe trouble ahead....
When was the last time we read the edl came out of Fortnum & Mason's dressed in tweed suits after having afternoon tea and were only armed with laptops and tablets as they had a lot to say during a peaceful protest?
Will we ever hear that? Is that a pig i just saw flying?

Re: Tommy Robinson - that's his side of the story. We need to hear the other side.
But let's be honest - Tommy Robinson is a proven liar. He went to jail for fraud:

/// Well it should be an offence for either side that if your sole intention is to harm, hurt verbally or physically persons or animals and property that belongs to others that a term of 4 years custodial sentence will apply to you if found guilty. ///
Needless to say, I agree with you on this 100%, as regards physically harming persons or property.
But where did this happen on this peaceful rally?

"Those other groups should not be allowed to attend a peaceful protest just with the purpose of goading on their mind."
Hence my "Offence for either side" comment.
What is the point of getting tanked up, shaving your head, wearing a mask if s 6th form student wearing spectacles and a cardigan can make you want to commit murder just by smirking at a passing edl member. I've actually seen this.
