government suppression of truth for trade, haven't all governments past and present done the same thing for years, and other governments in the eu, allowing extremism to thrive in our midsts totally unfettered...shameful.

It's pragmatic. The government will consider the loss of trade too devastating to the country to be so blatant in opposing Saudi activity in that area. They will try to solve the disagreement in more diplomatic ways. It's the only realistic option. Those who need to know do, but don't cause public unrest in their own country by causing hardship.
