Whilst it is understandable she should receive strong criticism I'm not sure why "online threats of murder and rape " should have been expected.
She is lucky that she is allowed to protest in this way without being charged. The outcome was rather different for that man in North Korea who was imprisoned and ended up in coma (and then died) just for taking down a poster
