Good morning mikey....I have been exposed to so many murders, tragedies, disappearances in my life, that it is difficult to recall the circumstances, but i do remember this one.
If the DNA is found to be that of the child, how would that help?
it would end years of speculation... looks likely he was killed in accident and his body then hidden ?

Morning Sqad !

Apparently, the theory is that he was accidentally killed in 1991, in land very close to his home, by a digger driver. That driver panicked and buried Ben immediatey.

When they dug up the area last October, various items were found and it now appears that blood was found on something. If they can prove by DNA testing, that this blood came from Ben, then it will strengthen the theory.

At least, that is how I understand it.
LOL...right thanks mikey.
Couldn't it be that his own blood was on his clothes during a scuffle, before he was abducted?
He was 21 months old. What kind of scuffle would he get into?
Question Author
Yes, of course. I doubt whether this new evidence will actually prove anything concrete.
ummmm...LOL...good point.

Ummm...it wouldn't be that unusual for a little boy to get a bloody nose, or to cut himself accidentally, while out playing. One of my brothers was always falling over and getting scabby knees, etc.
That's true, I haven't actually grown out of that phase myself.

I was just answering Sqad's scuffle argument. Any adult could scoop up a 21 month old with ease.

I fear that until someone comes forward and confesses, we will never know what really happened. I suppose the lesson to be learnt is to keep your toddlers close.
I read somewhere that a digger driver man had confessed on his death bed to an accident in which he killed the boy
In an ideal world, Mikey. Toddlers can disappear in seconds.

People think that toddlers are watched every second but it's not possible.
I read that too, Minty, but I think his family denied it.
Question Author
Minty....yes, I remember that now.
a 63 y o builder made a death bed confession
