The Muslim Council of Britain don't consider Ahmadis as Muslims, and they are banned in Pakistan from referring to themselves as Muslims.

Oh! dear....... the vultures are hovering. I am just guessing, but I suspect that AOG is using the word "mental" in a wide, non specific sense which is often used for say "confused" or "misled" or some such....NOT describing a mental health disorder. This type of ganging up by the same people against one member is getting monotonous and "dangerous".

"More than 30,000 Muslims pledge support for Britain after spate of terror attacks"
Very noble of them. Which country are they supposed to pledge support for since they live here and, in the main, almost certainly have no intention of living anywhere else? Are we supposed to express surprise, shock or what?
I don’t know why they chose Alton to have their jamboree. All a bit worrying really. It’s a very pleasant market town in the middle of Hampshire and I have a short break booked there for the end of September. Hope they’ve all cleared off by then.
BTW, I don’t care two hoots whether they are “proper” Muslims or not as long as they've all left Alton by the time I arrive.

“Can't have those types of people messing up a pleasant town now can we New Judge!”
Certainly not. Especially when it’s totally unnecessary and in a totally inappropriate location. (In fact I cannot think of an appropriate location with the possible exception of a football stadium. But the place they gather is a plot of 200 acres, so perhaps not.
I’ve just read a bit about this utter nonsense. Apparently it takes place every year and they rename the farm where it takes place “Islamabad” or the duration. The most important part of the jamboree is, it seems, five lots of prayers on Friday or Saturday Last year they opened proceedings by urging all people worldwide to renounce their hatred of Muslims. They might have a little more success with that if 30,000 of them didn’t descend on to a small town in Hampshire.

// Like catholics & protestants.....not good in S.Ireland" //
no such place - do you mean Republic of Ireland ?
I agree that the treaty of 1922 referred to The House of Commons of Southern Ireland - but even at the time people were commenting that the Treaty had been concluded with a legislative body that didnt exist ( even as the First Dail - its validity has only recently been settled ( it is))
yeah mental I know
oops am I allowed to say that ?
