...and this is why we pay those buffoons in Brussels millions of pounds a year?
EU
Keeps on taking
Lovely...... so glad I usually buy slightly more expensive, locally bred sausages - but I have had some supermarket ones.......... :(

Bigger has proved itself over the years to be not better! I remember walking up to the 'Town' hall (Baildon would be classed as a village these days) to pay our rates, Our money went on us ---- then centralisation became the word and villages became ignored outposts. Same in this case. Buy local, folks - or, if you can't, buy British.
I bet they had an illegal curvature as well!
Hep E is icosahedral rather than curved.
Hmmm, I had icosahedral down as a famous cheese brand.

You live, you learn. :)
I only buy meat from the butcher a two minute walk away. All his meat comes from within Gloucestershire from organic farmers. You really can taste the difference.
I'm glad I only buy British and only get mine at the farm shop.
Good for you NM. Can't beat it, can you!
Oh dear. Sausages was my standby meal for the troops when I couldn't think of anything else to cook. I'll have to do a bit more planning.
jo do you not have a local butcher? My one makes all his own sausages in the shop, they are delicious. One of the girls makes pies, steak and ale, steak and red wine, Pork pies etc. Another one makes quiches to order, they are to die for! I order four ham and mushroom at a time.
No,Boaty. We used to have two good butchers nearby, but both gone now. There is one about 10 miles away which I use if I'm going past, but no good for everyday stuff. Shame.
That is a shame jo. My man supplies most of the pubs and restaurants in the area.
Are German sausages infected or just the ones sent to the UK?
I eat a fair few German sausages :0/
No one seems to have spotted that this is naff all to do with the EU. Do you think we'll stop importing sausages once Brexit has occurred?
Oh, do stop bringing rationality to a good old rant, ZM.
Soz Jim.
What we all need are some nice hallal sausages :-)
ZM, as you say naff all apart from maybe to counteract the hysteria from the Remain camp about food coming in from other parts of the World who claim being in the EU stops this sort of thing.

We should all be trying to buy British anyway, if only to reduce the pollution from food miles.
Very droll Ich.

On that subject the Co-op advert for British meat is interesting. There are white people and black people but no obvious 'Asian' people as the advert is all about pork. Wonder how long before some numpty complains :-)
