Perhaps not the correct way to go about it, but is this any different to those who complain there are not enough black actors etc, or there are too many white football managers etc?

He regularly opened local fetes & charity fares - for affordable fees. Always a gentleman and supportive family man. He deserves a gong but alas he hasnt bought it by donating into the 'tax dodge' Princes' Trust.
All very confusing looking at who got a knighthood and who hasn't and who actually gives them out. I never take much notice of them other than to say summat like 'how has that *** got one' ... Only one Ozzy good enough for a knighthood?
Anyway on the whole cricket is crap and a game of opinions when it comes to who are the greatest players.
With 100/200 metre sprinting however you know who is the
greatest.
I don't really go in for these knighthoods but if I were to care I would say give Usain Bolt his asap. He's a great character and undeniable the greatest ever sprinter.

Oh, by the way - what percentage of those ennobled each year are non-white?

For Mr Boycott to have a point, we should expect the vast majority to be black.
Are they?
If they are, then Mr Boycott would have a good point.

You then asked:
//Where is your logic for that?//
Answer - in the words that I used.
But to expand - Geoff Boycott indicated that in order to get a knighthood, he would have to black up, which means that he thinks that he would have a better chance of getting a knighthood if he were black.
In order for that to be true, the vast majority of those honoured would have to be black.
Do you see what I mean?
It doesn't really make any sense for him to say that.

Oh dear.
If 10% of those receiving honours were BAME and 13% of the UK population are BAME, then that means that being black is actually statistically disadvantageous to one's chances of being enobled.

And then, if one day he is offered a knighthood, he can always refuse as a protest. There's a word for that, can't quite recall it now ...
