Can we have men only carriages too?

MPs are all mandated to come me up with at least one stupid idea each. Unfortunately for this bloke Jeremy Corbyn came up with it first.

The fact that JC comes up with lots of stupid ideas actually means there are less left in the pot for all the others to dig into so they have to double up sometimes.

considering the amount of sexual offence committed against women on the trains i think its a good idea, perhaps it will make them feel safer, it may not be practical but perhaps its worth a try.

Better education. I am not a fan of "safe space" approach as it leaves the underlying problems unchallenged.

If I wanted to indulge in sexual offending on a train and there were women-only carriages I think I would know just where to head.
In general I am not in favour of segregation.
Use the first class carriages perhaps, but of course they'd never do that

More should of course be done about sexual attcks on trains (or anywhere) but not this. Where would theargument end- maybe homophobic hate crime offences should mean separate carriages for gays, or racist hate crime means separate carriages for certain racial groups

How about gays only carriages, atheists carriages, vegan etc. If men can't act like decent human beings in public, slap them down hard. Whatever happened to gentlemen and self restraint?

Just because you think an idea is a bad one does not oblige you to suggest an alternative!
Naturally women-only carriages would be voluntary, and if the take-up was poor, on already overcrowded trains...
That's why I suggested using First Class, as they are normally deserted anyway

Of course we get the same lobby groups insisting that there must be "gender neutral" toilets, mixed wards in hospitals etc, but see no irony in the insistence that males and females must be separated on trains. (just like Saudi Arabia?) Perhaps the way forward is to establish Men or Women only Golf Clubs, Bowling Clubs, Boy Scouts,Girl Guides, etc.
