A : I'd expect Cressida Dick to take off shoes/cover head/send a bloke instead (delete as necessary) if a formal, planned, visit was being made - that's polite and culturally sensitive.

B : I'd expect a hot pursuit, anti-terror squad to go in with (figuratively at least) all guns blazing and all clothing still on.

I'd suggest that the current case is a lot nearer to 'B' than 'A' and cultural considerations should be subordinate to effective policing.
