Firstly - to address the OP - the reason why paedophiles don't form adult relationships is because they are unable to do so.

Often emotionally and sexually inadequate, they seek children because they can dominate them, without the need for adult interaction.

To turn to pixie's post - although I do understand the motives and support for vigilante groups, this may well be an example of where their enthusiasm has overtaken legal procedures, and they may have prevented a prosecution going to court which could have resulted in a prison sentence.

People marry for all sorts of reasons tho. One reason might be to have children for the wrong reasons, who knows. Many people tho who sexually abuse children are not actually "paedophiles" in the technical sense"
