Well being an ex Currency trader I'm surre our Nige cant wait!
'He revealed that extensive plans are being made for Jeremy Corbyn entering Downing Street, including contingency planning for a scenario in which a Labour victory triggers a fall in the value of the pound.'

Meanwhile, back on planet Earth.......
Marvellous, Labour have realised how disastrous they would be in government so are actually planning for a collapse of the pound. You can at least say they are forward thinking.
It's all part of a cunning plan.
They're going to borrow tons of dosh and ̶w̶a̶s̶t̶e̶ spend it.
Then they'll pay it back when a pound is worth a penny.
I thought they had a magic money tree for such eventualities?
Well they have generated plenty of *** to put round it this conference.
The money tree is in the garden of 10 Downing Street, it hasn't produced since Tony Blair had a wazz on it.
Shame Mikey isn't around. I bet even he couldn't spin this one!
Planning for all eventualities is prudent.
Labour are not going to win a General Election anytime soon, and even if they did, there is unlikely to be a run on the pound. But even if the possibility is slight, they are wise to have all bases covered.
Nothing to spin. One knows commercial concerns want higher profits, less taxation; would rather a right wing party was in power looking after their friends, and would be less aggressive to such a government. Merchants should not hold sway over democratically elected representatives, but should strive to succeed by commerce within the frameworks laid out by government. But that won't stop them trying.

Risk assessment is normal practice (except in the EU apparently, where forecasting and planning is not up to coping with a member exit, so they try to compensate by mugging the leaver in order to replenish their budget).
Au Contraire Gromit, they are on the threshold of power, leaked from Jezza's speech!
When is the next general election?
2022 cassa
Anything more frightening than this?

Perhaps mikey would care to use it as his avatar, after all his is out of date.
