Saudi Arabia To Allow Women To Drive
Wow, are they finally dragging themselves into the 21st century? Perhaps they'll stop stoning women for adultery when they've been raped. Or is that too much to hope for?

"Perhaps they'll stop stoning women for adultery when they've been raped". What is the punishment for being raped these days?
They'll be promoting them to human beings next!

"That don't impress me much."
Saudi Arabia has invested billions in the building of mosques and the funding of Islamic Studies department throughout Europe and the USA. (Remember Saudi's offer to build two hundred new mosques in Germany to ensure that Germany's new "citizens" felt at home?0
One such mosque funded by the house of Saud is the Didsbury mosque which nurtured the "refugee" responsible for the Ariana Grande atrocity. This mosque (and presumably many of its congregants) share all of these barbaric attitudes.
None of this a particular concern of May, Rudd or the boy Dimbleby when the issue of extremist literature was raised on QT.
I do know that the best and brightest won't get it, but here it is (spot the word Salafi):

There aren't that many Salafi/Wahaabi mosques, the majority (at least 50%) are Deobandi. That's the nasty (i.e. literal) version of Islam promoted in Pakistan and north-west India by Saudi money.
We're talking Tooting (I lived just round the corner in my early twenties with my first wife) and all major cities in the UK. The UK's largest Muslim population comes from NW India/Pakistan The imams are almost certainly illiterate in anything except Islamic bigotry.

VE,
// Abedi [the Manchester bomber] was also reported to the authorities after he confronted an imam who was delivering an anti-extremist sermon at Didsbury Mosque.
He claimed the leader was “talking ***” during the speech condemning Isis, the Manchester Evening News reported.
Akran Ramadan, who is part of the Libyan community in south Manchester, said he understood Abedi had been placed on a "watch list" after the mosque banned him and reported him to the authorities for his extremist views. //

Saudi Arabia is a deeply backward dictatorship, hiding behind a deeply backward religion. While this move is to be welcomed, there must be many other areas in which they need to be dragged into the 21st century.
Just on this issue, I understand that Saudi women will have to wait until June 2018 for this change to come about......why ?
Why not do it tomorrow ?
