firstly, how can the ownership of weapons that cause so much destruction be owned by an individual? owning a gun means that there is a weapon at a crime scene which can easily be taken from you and used against you.

The shooter was described as 'rich' or 'well off' so buying 10 or more guns in Arizona would not be any problem at all. You can even buy them on mail order!
