Why are women's nipples such a big deal?

Any child growing up right now could easily believe that the shape of women's nipples is black and square (if they've ever looked at a newspaper online).

Why are they so 'offensive', but mens' aren't?

Papers will pixellate a woman's nipple, but leave the rest of the boob unadulterated.

Ive NEVER understood just why are womens breasts (or nipples) offensive? I quiet like them myself...not in a sexual way, just that nature made us beautiful and for some reason we deem it 'offensive'...ridiculous

I agree - the media seem to be obsessed with boobs - side-boobs, under-boobs and overflowing-boobs.

Being more an animal lover - I saw a video of a little cat and someone had pixilated its bum hole out. Surely nobody could find that offensive, annoying when its in your face in the morning, but not offensive.
