Most of those go on to become Vicars, but not all.
Many take jobs within the Diocese that do not involve being a Vicar of any particular parish, although this is rare, as the majority would spend some time in a parish first. For instance, some newly ordained priests become Curates in a Parish, under the general tutelage of the Vicar.
It is normal for those Curates to then go on to have a Parish of their own, when they then take the title of Vicar, or Rector.
My closest friend is still a Priest, but she stopped being a Vicar when she retired from her CinW Parish.
In the case of this Church in Leicestershire, the Reverend Steve Bailey is a Team Vicar, and is also the Team Rector Designate for the Parish.

it wasn't a Christian war (unlike the Crusades), so why sing hymns as if it was?
400,000 Muslims fought for Britain in WW1. How about singing something that includes them?

jno....they did indeed, and also many Hindus fought and died during WW2. I have seen their graves at Monte Casino, 100's of them.
But this is a service within a Christian church. I can see a reason not to sing this hymn at a Remembrance Service, out of a church, although it would be a very thin reason to exclude it.
I am sure that there will be an opportunity for other religions to commemorate the event in their own way.
And I speak as a confirmed atheist !

I gave up going to my 'new' local church years ago.
Sat in a pew, the entire pew was empty along the row, some twonk said, 'you're sitting in my seat'
Well, with that warm welcome I got up to leave but some lovely ladies invited me to sit beside them.
Thanked them and after the service, I left, never to return.
