http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/uk -englan d-norfo lk-4180 8879
There is a phrase with the words "rats" and "ships" which comes to mind here....
But perhaps we shouldn't be that surprised....UKIP going back to their natural homeland IMHO !

No wonder Farage hates Carswell.
UKIP's work is done mikey, can you not see that? why do you keep harping on about UKIP, we all agree they are now irrelevant, even in their own ranks it would seem but you keep flogging this dead horse. They have been the most successful party in History but the down side to that is once you have achieved your ultimate aim you have nothing left to do. Could it be that you are angry that they beat all the other parties into a cocked hat in June 2016 and you want to get some some relief from kicking them? I don't get your obsession.
TTT....I do see that that UKIPs work is done, and I have said as much many, many times on here.
But this shows the duplicity of both UKIP and the Tories.
Especially the Tories, as they have accepted these turncoats back into the fold, despite the being such arch-enemies until very recently.
But cogitate this statement from one of the remaining UKIP MEPs :::::
East of England UKIP MEP Stuart Agnew said the action was "depressing, disgusting".
He added: "Without UKIP the Tories are going to be able to get away with an unsatisfactory Brexit."
I will continue to point out UKIPs treachery whenever I see it.

OAG....UKIP....in a seat of power ?
This is a small local Council. This is not good news for the Great Yarmouth, as it will give the balance of power over to the Tories, in an totally undemocratic way.
This isn't what the people of GY voted for. These 7 turncoats should have immediately resigned their seats and forced 7 new Elections.

aog, // And if this small local council were to hold a by-election and this ex UKIP now Tory won, this would elevate that member to the Houses of Parliament, which I believe is the seat of power. //
Not with you. How would someone elected to the local council be elevated to the Houses of Parliament?

no, I said they need to hang around in spirit to keep our popinjay politicians honest and make sure they don't ignore the democratic will of the majority. Now that A50 is invoked we are at least heading in the prescribed direction. If they are needed again I am sure that Lord Farage can rouse what is needed. As has been demonstrated UKIP do not need such baubles as seats to get their work done.
Have pointed it out before, but UKIP's job was never just to get a referendum. It was to get us out of the EU. That is still in the future. Brexit is clearly not far away, the timetable is known, daft suggestions of unhelpful extensions which will just encourage more procrastination, aside, and the EU is wasting time trying to mug the UK whilst refusing to start on the necessary negotiations, presumably desperately trying to ensure no deals are in place when Brexit arrives.
