Can The U S Execute This Terrorist? Do New York State's Death Penalty Rules Cover It?

I googled and as far as I can tell they have the death penalty for killing a police officer or committing murder whilst on a life sentence. Maybe federal laws applies in terrorism cases. Does that allow execution? This is not a debate about the rights and wrongs of executions.

Who will execution please? You? Trump? The victims families? This will then mean that the suspect according to his religion dies a “martyr” making him and other terrorism groups happy. Which is what we don’t want, spending the rest of his life, miserable in a superman jail is more a punishment

I agree that executing him will just make him a 'Martyr to Islam' and in his eyes mean he is instantly transported to paradise, and supplied with a stream of beautiful virgins desperate to have sex with him as well as endless wonderful and being a favorite of Allah .
Locking him up will be far worse to Muslim eyes and may deter other prospective Martyrs from doing the same.
