I suspect that the prospect of a state visit is actually being used to keep him out. The govt can’t really cancel it but they can quietly behind the scenes make it very hard for it ever to happen

If he were a murderous tyrant I could understand the objections but he isn't; he's just someone who gets right up the left's nose, hardly a reason for banning him. He will never be forgiven for beating the fragrant Hillary.

He’s fallen out with the Tory government and MPs and what was it George W Bush said after his inauguration speech: ‘That was some weird ***!’ He has managed to make Dubya look like some brown rice-wielding avant-garde liberal.
