Britain First's Paul Golding And Jayda Fransen Arrested
Answers
Belfast certainly doesn't need these people spreading their vile message - on the Peace Wall of all places. I have seen this tactic used so often before: use outspoken language, almost daring people to react - then when the reaction DOES come bleating about "free speech". The fact that there worse people in the world is no defence

Actually I think - if it is the videos retweeted by Trump you refer to - at least one of those fake (fake? not a problem protested a supporter of Trump’s in the US)
But your talk of ‘the real enemy’ disturbs me. There are many enemies we face and some are indeed worse than others. It would be odd we’re that not the case. I grew up in NI where religious hatred and bigotry went hand in hand with terrorist violence. We frequently had lectures from the ‘mainland’ - and sometimes still do - about how awful we are. And so it is rather galling to see people from BF (albeit as Mikey points out BF being the rancid spawn of Loyalist paramilitaries) coming over stirring new religious conflict.
Hence the outrage, and forgive me if I don’t hold back because they happen to make a thing of criticising IS etc. They do it for their own ends.
And as I once said before those ends are nothing to do with peace. If you seriously think they are then fair enough, we will just have to differ on that.

Emmie....I have always condemned preachers of hate, whether they be Islamic, or, in this Fascist.
One of our thicker posters on AB questioned my condemnation of Anjem Choudary yesterday, inferring that I was somehow luke-warm, when that was the complete opposite of the truth.
A couple of weeks ago, you said that you had never heard of BF. Golding has already been sentenced for his activities.
Franzen has been convicted of religiously aggravated harassment. And now they have been arrested again, and have appeared in a British court of law.
These are not nice people, and they do not belong to a nice organisation. They themselves are preachers of hate.
I suggest that you research BF a little more....its not like some quasi-British Legion, although it tries to make itself look that way, to the casual observer at least.

Emmie....correct !
Here is the first line of BFs Wiki page ::
"Britain First is a far-right and ultranationalist British political organisation formed in 2011 by former members of the British National Party (BNP). It was founded by Jim Dowson, an anti-abortion campaigner linked to Ulster loyalist groups in Northern Ireland.
The organisation's leader is former BNP councillor Paul Golding and its deputy leader is Franzen"
As I said....not very nice, are they ?

Why have both Golding and Franzen been arrested Naomi ?
Let me help you out :::
On 18 November 2017, Fransen was arrested in London by detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland in relation to a speech she had made at a rally outside Belfast City Hall on 6 August. She was charged with employing "threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour" and is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court on 14 December"
In December 2017, apparently on a visit to Belfast to support Jayda Fransen in her court appearance for allegedly using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, Golding was arrested by the Police Service of Northern Ireland regarding a speech he gave in the city in August, and was later charged.

Emmie....with respect, that is daft !
Choudary was convicted of inviting support for a proscribed organisation, namely the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, under the Terrorism Act 2000.
Nothing whatsoever racist about hating someone like him. My regret is that he wasn't apprehended and sentenced years before he was.
