If these people were not so out of touch, they might realise that they are being viewed by all of society and not just their supporters.
Not excusing the vile messages, whoever they are from, but can’t help thinking that he brought this upon himself, so no sympathy from me.

Emmie,
I have already said I am not defending the vile messages.
But if Griffith’s mocks people in care homes while he knows he is being broadcast live on national TV, then no, not surprised he got hate mail and no sympathy. It is unfortunate his wife was targeted, but I guess she knew he was an MP when she married him, so knows that attacks by trolls would be a possibility.
The police are investigating so there may be some prosecutions.

The threat was made on Twitter.
And the spark for the attacks?
'However, the Conservative MP was not referred to by name by Mr Corbyn, was not rebuked by the Speaker, and his identity remained a mystery until Labour MPs named him on Twitter shortly afterwards.
That was the spark for a torrent of abuse from thousands of Left-wing activists. At first, the threats were targeted solely at the MP. Then his wife came under attack on her open Facebook page after the trolls discovered references to her by the MP.'
