"There are reportedly fears on the EU side that a post-Brexit British economy, freed from the burden of EU regulation, will be able to suck jobs and investment out of Europe." - pity the VB over here don't have the same confidence in Britain that the EUSSR seem to have.

"On Turkey’s chances of joining the EU, [Mordaunt] said: “This is our last chance to have a say on this, we’re not going to be consulted on whether those countries should join. Those countries are going to join, it is a matter of when.”
Andrew Marr suggested this was wrong, given “the British government does have a veto on Turkey joining, so we don’t have to let them join”.
But Ms Mordaunt replied: “No, it doesn’t. We are not going to be able to have a say.”
LIE.

Likewise, when Peston asks why the £350 million pledge isn't in the Tory manifesto, Boris says "It is".

it's in your own link jno! PMSL try listening to it again. oh dear, your hatred of Britain is blinding you.
TCL £350m is what we give, after brexit we would not be giving it at all so we would have control of the full £350m. The Eu will have to find the other £194m from their other members, perhaps that's why they are whinning so much.

Nobody said £350m a week would be paid to the NHS. I tend to go along with the notion that it was a "suggestion" as to how the money we send to the EU might otherwise be spent. But as I said earlier, I don't believe much of what any politician tells me so it's a question that didn't enter my head. Current politicians and what they said during the campaign made not one iota of difference to the way I voted and it was never likely to. I made my decision on what I had seen had actually happened not on what some "here today, gone tomorrow" politician told me what might or might not. People who listen to politicians' promises or threats have only themselves to blame when they discover they've been misled.
There was never a suggestion by the leave campaign to pay £350m each week to the NHS, as has been pointed out umpteen times. It was never written on the bus, that was remainer misinformation, as pointed out umoteen times. (There may have been the odd individual that in the heat of discussion didn't say what they meant or believed.) So there is no net £156m to account for. It's remainer deception only. Can not understand why intelligent people keep bringing this up.
“…what happens to the various UK sectors that had been getting the £194m each week between them from the EU if it goes to the NHS instead?”
It doesn’t really matter because they were not getting it from the EU. They were getting it from the sums returned from the UK’s payments. The issue is that currently every pound that is sent to the EU is entirely controlled by them. About half of it is retained to be spent on their administrative expenses and their wealth distribution schemes. The other half (which makes up your £194m) comes back to be spent as directed. Post Brexit the entire pound can be spent as seen fit by the UK Parliament.

"NJ since the UK has not been contributing £350m each week to the EU,..."
Which again doesn't matter. Whatever the sums involved (and I think it is common ground that they are considerable and at a minimum £8bn p.a.) they will be controlled by the UK, not the EU. You seem obsessed with the "£350m per week", presumably on the basis of what politicians told you.

NJ the Leave Campaign said the £350m each week could be spent on priorities such as the NHS. The implication was the amount would be in addition to what the Government spends already.
However, of that sum, £194m is already accounted for by being paid elsewhere so there can't be an additional £350m each week can there?
