Yet Another Massive Injustice
why is this vile man being released from prison, his track record is appalling.

True, but we don't jail people on the basis of probability, just evidence and charges that can be proven in a court of law.
It's very easy to look at the circumstances we have been offered by the media, and jump to very obvious emotional conclusions.
What we must remember is that parole is not offered lightly, or on a whim, or for reasons of political correctness.
It is a very detailed and considered process, and, as advised, we must hope that the parole board have made a correct decision.
Time will tell.

I watched CH4 news tonight, and it was said that Worboys was given a life sentence, with a minimum of 8 years.
So, considering the dozens of women that have since accused him of rape, I am at a loss to understand why he is being let out after only serving 8 years ?

Someone can commit more than 100 rapes and still be out of prison after only 8 years ?

Andy....I understand that since his trial, more women have come forward with accusations.
I still stand by my original point.....the sentence was life, with a minimum of 8 years.....not a maximum of 8 years.
Something else came out of the CH4 news item....his victims only got to find out about his imminent release from the media, not through any official channel.
This has all the hallmarks of a cock-up of gigantic proportions.

it started filling the prisons with prisoners without a hope of release and screwed the concept of retribution redemption and change.
The judges murmured [only] that they were probably unlawful - as it cut across the idea of punishment for a crime.
so the system lasted less than ten years - until the prison filling tap was turned off - but altho they stopped doing them [sending them in] - the ones in the system were never reviewed
i mean someone's done 15 y for theft ( longer than mairder ) because he doesnt fit the criteria of - will he steal again?

Andy....I wish I had as much faith in the process than you obviously do. This man is clearly a serious sexual deviant, and a persistent offender.
The Parole Board should be erring on the side of caution....it is their duty to protect the public, not the prisoner.

Yes I’m sure his life will become a living hell at reporting to probation once a week and the “not being allowed to contact his victims”. Will be a torture worse than death...
